๐ŸŒŒ Conduct the Flow

A fast-paced neon runner built around movement, timing and staying in control.

Conduct the Flow is a portrait arcade game where you guide a small hovercraft through a futuristic tunnel, follow glowing routes, collect pickups and react to increasingly difficult sections.

The controls are simple: drag left and right to steer.

What starts off easy becomes more challenging as the run gets faster and the route becomes harder to read. The idea is to learn the movement, react earlier and improve a little more each time you play.

๐ŸŽฎ Gameplay

You are always moving forward.

Read the route ahead, move into position, collect energy pickups and try to keep your run going for as long as possible.

There are no complicated controls or lots of buttons. Most of the challenge comes from timing your movement properly and staying calm when the speed picks up.

โšก Whatโ€™s in the game

  • ๐Ÿš€ Fast portrait gameplay
  • ๐Ÿ‘† Simple left and right drag controls
  • ๐ŸŒŒ Neon sci-fi tunnel environment
  • ๐Ÿ’  Glowing pickups
  • ๐Ÿ”ท Bright route edges and track lighting
  • ๐ŸŸ  Orange player craft
  • ๐Ÿ“ˆ Increasing speed and difficulty
  • ๐Ÿ” Procedural route variation
  • ๐Ÿ† Score, distance and Flow feedback
  • ๐Ÿ“ฑ Designed with mobile play in mind
  • ๐ŸŒ WebGL browser build

๐ŸŒƒ Visual Style

The game uses a dark futuristic environment with cyan, teal and orange lighting.

I wanted the player craft and route to stay easy to see even when the tunnel becomes busier, so the environment stays dark while the important gameplay elements use brighter colours.

The environment is still being developed and improved. Iโ€™m currently working on better tunnel structures, lighting, materials, route presentation and effects to give the game more depth without making it too heavy for mobile or WebGL.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Flow

A big part of the game is trying to stay consistent.

The better your movement becomes, the easier it is to keep a good run going and build Flow.

You will probably make mistakes at first, but after a few runs you start recognising the patterns earlier and moving more naturally.

That improvement is really what the game is built around.

๐Ÿ•น๏ธ Controls

๐Ÿ’ป PC / Browser

Drag left and right with the mouse.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Mobile

Swipe or drag left and right.

๐Ÿค– AI / ML Development

Conduct the Flow is also part of a larger technical project Iโ€™m using to learn and experiment with AI, machine learning and control systems.

Iโ€™m exploring things such as:

  • ๐Ÿง  player skill estimation
  • ๐Ÿ“Š gameplay data and testing
  • โš™๏ธ adaptive future difficulty
  • ๐Ÿค– autonomous gameplay agents
  • ๐Ÿงช procedural pattern testing
  • ๐ŸŽฎ Unity ML-Agents
  • ๐Ÿฆพ control-system experiments

These systems are being developed alongside the main game rather than replacing the normal gameplay.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Development

Language: C#
Platforms: Mobile + WebGL
Orientation: Portrait / 9:16
Status: ๐Ÿšง In Development

Right now Iโ€™m mainly working on:

๐ŸŽจ environment art
๐Ÿ’ก lighting
โœจ VFX
๐Ÿ›ฃ๏ธ route visuals
๐Ÿ“ฑ mobile optimisation
๐ŸŒ WebGL support
๐Ÿงช testing and polish
